Well known Stratton businessman killed in workplace accident

On April 28, 2011 at approximately 12:50 pm, Rainy River District OPP officers and Rainy River Ambulance responded to Stratton Service located at on Hwy# 617 in the village of Stratton as a result of a workplace accident.
Upon arrival, paramedics located the shop owner, Shawn McDonald, age 42, unresponsive in the service bay. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Members of the North West Region Forensic Identification Unit as well as inspectors from the Ministry of Labour attended Stratton Service yesterday to conduct a joint investigation.
A post mortem examination took place in Kenora at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital on Friday April 29, 2011.
